Hickman Automotive Group is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Customer Service Agent with our affiliated company, NL Car Rentals in St. John's, NL. We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to manage all aspects of our car rental company.

As the Customer Service Agent, you will play a vital role in the transportation industry, ensuring that customers have a smooth and satisfactory rental experience while managing the operational aspects of the rental process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, assist them in selecting vehicles that meet their needs, and explain rental terms, policies, and procedures. Answer questions about vehicle features and rental agreements.
• Processing Rentals: Handle all paperwork related to the rental process, including collecting necessary documentation (like driver’s licenses and credit card information) and processing payments.
• Vehicle Inspection: Agents are responsible for inspecting vehicles before and after rentals to document any existing damages and ensure that the cars are in good condition for customers.
• Reservations: make or cancel or modify reservations
• Inventory Management: Monitor the inventory of vehicles, ensuring that all cars are clean, fueled, and ready for rental. This includes coordinating with maintenance teams to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
• Handling Complaints: Address customer complaints and concerns, providing solutions to any issues that arise during the rental process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Upselling Services: Promote additional services such as coverage protection, vehicle upgrades, and other related products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of rental agreements, customer information, and vehicle conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Car Rental Agent or similar role.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of car rental management software is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers and addressing their needs.
• Attention to Detail: Agents must be detail-oriented to accurately process paperwork and inspect vehicles for damages.
• Customer Service Orientation: A commitment to providing excellent customer service is crucial for ensuring a positive rental experience.
• Sales Skills: Ability to promote additional services and products to customers can enhance revenue for the rental agency.
